Tonga Primary Class 4 Curriculum - English
The official languages of Tonga are Tongan and English. Most Tongans are bilingual, speaking both Tongan and English. However, some Tongans may not be fluent in reading and writing English. Education in Tonga is compulsory for children aged 4 to 18. The education system consists of six years of primary school, three years of junior secondary, and three years of senior secondary. A bilingual approach is used in government primary schools, with Tongan being the primary language of instruction up to Class 3. Additional information about the Class 4 English curriculum specifically was not found. The Ministry of Education and Training is responsible for the administration and management of education in Tonga. |
