Tunisia Basic Education Curriculum - Science

The Tunisian education system consists of a 9-year basic education cycle (Enseignement de base) divided into two stages: 6 years of primary school and 3 years of preparatory education. Basic education is compulsory for all children aged 6 to 15. After completing the 9-year basic education cycle, students can pursue secondary education.

While the specific details of the 9th-year science curriculum are not readily available, the basic education curriculum generally includes subjects such as mathematics, Arabic language, Islamic education, history, French, natural sciences, art, physical education, geography, English, civics, and technical education. In the academic stream, students follow a common curriculum for the first two years of secondary school before choosing one of five specializations: language arts, mathematics, technical sciences, experimental sciences, and economics and management.
