Tunisian Secondary Education 2nd Form - Art

The Tunisian secondary education system consists of four years of study. In the 2nd Form, students follow a common curriculum (tronc commun) which includes art. Art education in Tunisian schools aims to foster appreciation for various art forms and encourage creative expression. One example of this is a World Art Day activity where students worked on collective sheet murals. There is evidence of tests and exams being administered at this level, including mid-term tests specifically for 2nd Form art students. In July 2024, the Ministry of Education announced the introduction of an art section in the first year of secondary school in each region. This suggests a growing emphasis on arts education within the Tunisian secondary system. General information on the Tunisian education system, including basic and secondary levels, can be found at and Resources for English language learning in Tunisian secondary schools are available.
