2. Science, Technology, and Society: This unit delves into the evolution of information preservation, dissemination, and transfer, from the invention of writing to modern techniques. It also highlights the contributions of prominent figures from the Turkish-Islamic civilization to scientific advancements. Furthermore, the unit analyzes the impact of European developments between the 15th and 20th centuries on current scientific knowledge, emphasizing the invention of the printing press, the scientific proof of Earth's round shape, the discovery of the law of gravity, and the invention of the steam engine. Finally, the unit assesses the role of free thinking in scientific progress.

3. Production, Distribution, and Consumption: This unit examines the historical and contemporary significance of land in production and management. It also evaluates the social and economic impact of advancements in production technology. Students will explore the roles of institutions and non-governmental organizations in society, including organizations like the Turkish Red Crescent (Kızılay) and the Green Crescent (Yeşilay). The unit also covers institutions involved in vocational training and ethics throughout Turkish history, such as the Ahilik and Guild organizations, professional chambers, and vocational schools. Students are encouraged to consider emerging professions in a changing global landscape and plan their career paths based on their personal skills, talents, and interests. Finally, the unit analyzes the transformations brought about by digital technologies in production, distribution, and consumption, with a focus on e-commerce.

4. Active Citizenship: This unit explores the emergence, development, and contemporary meanings of democracy, drawing examples from Turkish history. It also highlights Atatürk's contributions to the development of Turkish democracy, including the establishment of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, the declaration of the Republic, and the attempts to transition to a multi-party system. Students will connect the fundamental characteristics of the Republic of Turkey with their practical applications in society. Finally, the unit analyzes the challenges encountered in the implementation of democratic processes.

5. Global Connections: This unit provides examples of international organizations to which Turkey is a member. It also introduces economic regions and organizations with which Turkey has relations. Students will question stereotypes about different cultures and collaborate to propose solutions to global issues.
