Tuvalu Education System Overview

Tuvalu's education system consists of primary, secondary, and higher education levels. Primary education is provided for eight years. While the primary school completion rate is reportedly high (95%), a significant number of students do not transition to secondary education. There are twelve primary schools in Tuvalu, nine public and three private. Some primary schools offer instruction in the vernacular language.
