Ukraine 10th Grade Curriculum: Defense of Ukraine

This curriculum, launching in September 2024, aims to equip students with essential life skills and cultivate responsible citizenship. It includes practical training and theoretical understanding across various defense-related areas. The course takes place once a month in specially equipped centers with computer simulators, interactive shooting simulators, and first aid training tools. More than 100 coaches have been trained to support teachers in delivering this curriculum.

10th Grade Topics

• Fundamentals of National Security and Defense: This module covers the basics of Ukraine's national security framework.
• Weapons and Military Equipment: Students will gain familiarity with various weapons and military equipment.
• Principles of Command and Planning: This section introduces the basics of military command and planning principles.
• Practical Skills Development: This includes hands-on training in:
• Terrain Orienteering: Navigation and map reading skills.
• Engineering Fortifications: Building defensive structures.
• Marksmanship Training: Safe and effective firearm handling.
• Drone Control: Basic operation and utilization of drones.
• Information Security: Understanding and practicing information security principles.
• Navigation: Developing navigation skills using various tools and techniques.
• Open Source Intelligence (OSINT): Gathering and analyzing information from publicly available sources.
• Psychological Resilience: Building mental fortitude and coping mechanisms.

11th Grade Topics

• Military Technologies: Advanced study of military technologies and their applications.
• Information Security: Further exploration of information security concepts and practices.
• First Aid: In-depth training in providing first aid in various situations.
• Civilian Protection: Learning methods to protect civilians during crises.
• National Defense: Understanding strategies and principles of national defense.
