Ukraine 8th Grade Curriculum - Physical Education

Overview

Information on the specific 8th-grade Physical Education curriculum in Ukraine is limited. However, it is known that Physical Education is a compulsory subject in Ukrainian schools, from primary to secondary levels. The curriculum for secondary school (grades 5-9) was implemented in November 2010. This curriculum combines mandatory and variable components. For grades 5-7, there are 35 teaching hours per year, while grades 8 and 9 have 17 hours each.

Impact of War

The ongoing war in Ukraine has significantly impacted the education system, including physical education. Many schools have been damaged or destroyed, leading to disruptions in learning. Despite these challenges, efforts are being made to ensure continued access to education, including online learning and the provision of educational resources.
