What’s your name?
My name is Umesh Chandra and I am a Chemistry Teacher.
What’s your teaching experience?
I have been teaching from 2007. I have taught to students’ age group from 15 – 24 year old. I taught in India CBSE, State Curriculum and UGC courses. I taught materials science and engineering courses in Ethiopia and Cambridge Chemistry for IGCSE, As and A Level in Indonesia.
What qualifications do you have? (Bachelor’s in education, CELTA, TESOL, etc)
Msc and PhD in Industrial Chemistry
How do you teach that helps students learn efficiently?
As I have taught to different level students, I believe well-structured lesson plan and interactive teaching with activities keep students engage during class. Better scheme of teaching will help to improve understanding the subjects. Giving assignments and practice work sheets will help students to implement their knowledge of understanding and enhance their skills. Further I teach with fun and use simple way to approach my lesson, so that students will follow topics easily with full of their attention.
Why do you enjoy teaching?
I enjoy by sharing knowledge and engaging with young brains. I enjoy because I like to see my students’ positive growth in both professional and personal life. I enjoy my students. In chemistry there are few dry topics and difficult to understand, If approach a new and simple way to reach students with difficult topics I really enjoy. I enjoy because my students are getting better day by day.
What’s one fun fact about you?
I enjoy when students make mistake, because I turn this into sporty, it will give a chance to learn new things in new way.
