GCSE Modern Foreign Languages (e.g., French, German, Spanish)

This course aims to develop students' ability to communicate in a modern foreign language, encompassing speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. Students develop their understanding of the culture associated with the language they are studying. Curriculum

The GCSE Modern Foreign Languages curriculum covers a range of topics, including identity and culture, local, national, international and global areas of interest, and current and future study and employment. A temporary change was implemented in summer 2022, removing the requirement for unfamiliar vocabulary in assessments. Further adaptations to assessments were proposed for exams from summer 2023.

Assessment
