United Kingdom T-Levels (Level 3 Qualifications)
T-Levels are two-year technical qualifications introduced in England in 2020, providing a vocational alternative to A-Levels. Equivalent in size to three A-Levels, they combine classroom learning with a substantial industry placement (minimum 45 days). They are graded from Distinction* to Pass.
T-Level Categories:
1. Agriculture, Environment and Animal Care
This T-Level offers pathways in Agriculture, Land Management and Production, and Animal Care and Management. Students gain practical skills and knowledge relevant to the agricultural, environmental, and animal care sectors.
2. Business and Administration
Focusing on Management and Administration, this T-Level equips students with skills for various administrative and managerial roles across different sectors.
3. Construction
This T-Level offers pathways in Design, Surveying and Planning, Building Services Engineering, and Onsite Construction. It prepares students for careers in various construction disciplines, including design, surveying, planning, and building services engineering.
4. Engineering and Manufacturing
This T-Level covers areas like Design and Development for Engineering and Manufacturing, and Engineering, Manufacturing, Processing, and Control. Students gain skills and knowledge applicable to diverse engineering and manufacturing roles.
5. Digital, Creative and Design
Focusing on Digital Production, Design, and Development, this T-Level prepares students for careers in software design, development, and other digital fields.
6. Education and Early Years
This T-Level prepares students for careers in early years education, childcare, and teaching support roles.
7. Health and Science
This T-Level offers pathways in Health, Healthcare Science, and Supporting Healthcare. It provides students with the knowledge and skills for various healthcare professions.
8. Legal, Finance and Accounting
This T-Level includes pathways in Finance, Legal Services, and Accounting. It prepares students for careers in finance, legal services, and accounting fields. |
