The curriculum and materials used in Ceibal en Inglés have evolved over time. Initially, custom-designed lesson plans and materials from the British Council were used. Later, the program adopted the Little Bridge platform, providing an integrated curriculum and digital learning materials accessible to students on their Ceibalitas (laptops provided by the Ceibal program).

Assessment of learning outcomes is an integral part of the Ceibal en Inglés program. Students participate in the National English Adaptive Test (NEAT), a computer-based adaptive test aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The NEAT assesses vocabulary and grammar, reading, and listening skills. Results from the NEAT are used to monitor student progress, evaluate program effectiveness, and identify areas for improvement.

The Ceibal en Inglés program has been recognized for its innovative approach to addressing the shortage of English teachers and expanding access to English language education in Uruguay. The program's success is attributed to several factors, including strong leadership, effective management, and a commitment to continuous improvement. The long-term partnership between Ceibal and the British Council has played a crucial role in developing and implementing the program.
