Uzbekistan is a country located in Central Asia. It's a landlocked country, which means it doesn't have an ocean coastline. Uzbekistan shares borders with several other countries: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, and Turkmenistan.
Most of Uzbekistan is flat, like a big, wide-open space. There are some mountains in the far eastern part of the country.
Uzbekistan has three major rivers: the Amu Darya, the Syr Darya, and the Zeravshan. Rivers are important because they provide water for drinking, farming, and other activities.
Uzbekistan has a dry climate, which means it doesn't rain very much. The summers are hot, and the winters are cool. Deserts cover a large part of Uzbekistan. One of the famous deserts is called the Kyzylkum Desert.
