Venezuela 9th Grade Sciences

9th grade represents the culmination of Basic Education in Venezuela. Students study a range of science subjects throughout grades 7-9, including algebra, before choosing a specialization in either humanities or sciences for their two years of Educación Media Diversificada (Diversified Education). This specialized track begins in the equivalent of 10th grade. Upon completion of 9th grade, students receive a Certificado de Educación Básica.
