Course Overview

Vietnamese Literature for Grade 7 focuses on developing language and literary competencies through reading, writing, speaking, and listening activities. The curriculum covers a range of literary texts, including fables, short stories, science fiction, poems, essays, journalistic prose, and proverbs. Students also learn about argumentative and informational texts, including social and literary arguments, explanations of rules or practices, and reports. Learning Objectives

Grade 7 Vietnamese Literature aims to equip students with the following knowledge and skills:

• Vietnamese Language: Proverbs, idioms, terminology, Sino-Vietnamese elements, context and word meanings, numerals, adverbs, sentence components, ellipsis, hyperbole, understatement, text coherence, regional variations, and non-verbal communication.
• Literary Analysis: Cognitive value of literature, themes, author's attitudes, narrative perspectives, and formal elements of poetry.
• Text Types and Genres: Narrative, expressive, argumentative, and informational texts.
