Vietnam Grade 9 Chemistry Curriculum

The Chemistry curriculum in Vietnam is part of the national curriculum set by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET). In lower secondary education (grades 6-9), Chemistry is integrated into the Natural Sciences subject, alongside Physics, Biology, and Earth and Space Science. A new science curriculum was published in 2018 and officially launched in 2020. New textbooks for Grade 9 were implemented starting in the 2024-2025 academic year. While specific topics for Grade 9 Chemistry are not readily available, Chemistry is taught at the upper secondary level as a separate subject. The 5E Model is being applied in teaching sciences, including Chemistry, in Vietnamese secondary schools.
