Zimbabwe Grade 1 ICT Syllabus

This syllabus introduces learners to computers and equips them with basic ICT skills. The learning area should be allocated at least 1 hour per week.

Units

This syllabus consists of seven units:

1. Working safely with computers 2. Working with tablets 3. Identifying parts and types of computers 4. Computer uses (I) 5. Basic settings and file management 6. ICT tools 7. Uses of ICT tools

Activities

Planned activities include:

• Discovering the ICT environment
• Introduction to text processing software
• Creating folders
• Changing desktop properties
