Have you ever seen the crocodile that is native to the waters of Singapore? Or the 10.6-metre sperm whale that was found dead off Jurong Island?

Specimen of Kaiser, a Saltwater Crocodile, that was donated to the Museum in May 2017 by the Singapore Zoo. He was 40 years old when he died and his actual weight at death recorded, was 515kg.

These specimens have been preserved in pristine conditions for visitors to gain a better appreciation and understanding of the conservation in Singapore, as well as learn and education about the vast diversity of biological life.

We do not want to spoil the fun too much for you before your visit, but here are some sneak peeks of the museum for you.

Split into fifteen thematic zones of exhibitions from plants, amphibians, mammals and dinosaurs, there is something for everyone, children and adults alike, to be enthralled by.

Part of the highlight of the museum is the towering display of the three diplodocid Sauropod dinosaur fossils, considered one of the largest and heaviest animals to ever walk on land.

The museum also boasts a large natural history collection that dates to the late 1800s and early 1900s, where it was once part of the former Raffles Library and Museum, now known as the National Museum of Singapore.

As there are many specimens to see and much to learn, we recommend setting aside at least two to three hours to thoroughly explore the museum, a perfect way to spend an afternoon during the March school holidays.

Tickets can be purchased online via sistic or we purchased them via klook.com

To find out more, do check out the museum’s official website.
