Lower Secondary – English (Normal Academic)

  • Type

    Short course

  • Duration

    12 classes (60 mins / class)

  • Class Size

    1-8 students / class

THIS COURSE WILL COVER
  • Editing & Grammar
  • Situational Writing and Free Writing
  • Comprehension Text 1 and Text 3
  • Comprehension Text 2
Although Topics 1, 2 and 3 are taught in Lower Sec, this course aims to build on what students have learnt there and explore more difficult questions targeted specifically for Upper Sec exams. For example, in Visual Text, a question may ask how an image lends itself to support the main message in the poster. Another example for Situational Writing might ask a student to state the benefits/advantages of a chosen activity and elaborate on it. Last but not least, Text 2 Reading Comprehension – Language for Impact questions have always been an obstacle for many students but in this lesson, I will demonstrate to you how to answer them correctly and effectively.
